Research and Science Park

VTP (Research and Science Park) is a specifically established organization whose business programme and focus includes the development of a particular business environment which is primarily focused on science, technologies and innovation business. The organisation uses its know-how for establishing conditions for the dynamic development of innovation companies and for the transfer of technologies and education to innovation business. VTP fulfils two basic functions: innovation and incubation which are a basic assumption for the innovation business.

The innovation business

Innovation business is a set of business activities focused on the continuous implementation of innovations. In relation with research and development, the subject of the business is to implement R&D results within commercial maturity, i.e. on the market.
The transfer of the technologies is an important tool. The innovation business process starts with an idea, continues through the launching of new products on the market followed by the evaluation of utility properties as well as sophisticated disposal – post-lifecycle recycling.

The transfer of technologies

The transfer of technologies is a time-limited process of transferring knowledge for the innovation of products, production and test methods and services which entails the design, production or use of manuals for all components within a production or work process.

Establishment of a special business environment

VTP has decided to establish a special business environment as follows: VTP has located the industrial premises of a former textile factory in Rumburk, conducted a study for the potential use of the existing production facilities and the construction of a new production facility, calculated construction costs and installed technologies and marketing for potential organizations interested in leasing the production facilities.
Following the study, there were meetings regarding cooperation in the implementation of this project with local authorities. The negotiations concluded with cooperation in the field of human resources as well as the inclusion into the social programme for employment development. Regarding cooperation with potential partners for the use of the spaces, we held discussions with technically orientated universities which were interested in the verification of new technologies under test conditions.

Research and Science Park Rumburk is a member of the Science and Technology Parks Association ČR.
